Practice management for a physiotherapy clinic
Appointments, structured clinical notes, and medical-aid-ready billing for a KZN physiotherapy practice.
The problem
A growing physiotherapy practice ran on a paper diary and generic invoicing that didn't speak the language of medical-aid billing: tariff codes, ICD-10 coding, structured clinical records. Add POPIA obligations around patient data and the admin was eating clinical hours.
The approach
A server-driven web application on ASP.NET 9 with HTMX — fast, simple pages with no heavy front-end. The appointment diary, SOAP clinical notes, and billing share one patient record; invoices are built from the practice's 93 physiotherapy tariff codes with ICD-10 coding attached. Two-factor authentication on every account and a POPIA audit trail on every access to patient data.
The outcome
The practice books, treats, notes, and bills in one system. Medical-aid-ready invoices come out coded correctly the first time, and the audit trail answers POPIA questions before they're asked.
